What format do the compounds arrive in?
Every compound ships as a stable lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial. Lyophilized peptides are stable at ambient room temperature during transit, so shipments are not cold packed. On arrival, move the vial to cold storage until it is used in your protocol.
Do you provide reconstitution volumes or dosing guidance?
No. Helaman Labs provides analytical-grade lyophilized compounds strictly for laboratory research and does not provide reconstitution volumes, dilution charts, dosing protocols or administration guidance of any kind. Laboratory researchers are responsible for calculating their own experimental concentrations based on their assay design and the batch analytical data supplied with each compound.
Does Helaman Labs sell bacteriostatic water?
No. Helaman Labs does not sell bacteriostatic water, syringes, filters or any other medical or laboratory supplies. We supply research compounds only.
Where do researchers source BAC water and lab supplies?
Bacteriostatic water and general consumables are widely available from laboratory and medical supply distributors, pharmacy suppliers, and scientific catalogue vendors. Sourcing is the responsibility of the researcher, who must confirm that the supplier and intended use comply with all applicable local, state and federal regulations.
How should dry powder be stored?
Keep unopened lyophilized vials at -20°C, sealed and protected from light and moisture. Stored this way, dry powder is stable long term. Brief exposure to room temperature during shipping does not compromise the material.
How should reconstituted solution be stored?
Once a researcher has reconstituted a compound for laboratory use, general laboratory practice is to keep solutions refrigerated at 2-8°C, protected from light, and to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Solution stability is concentration- and solvent-dependent, so researchers determine their own use windows from their analytical controls. Discard any solution that becomes cloudy or shows particulates.
